Why do you have so many facilities in Kennesaw?
The headquarters for Atlanta Bonded Warehouse and Colonial Cartage, and many of our other facilities, are located in or near Kennesaw, Georgia. Why did we choose to base so many facilities within a tight geographical area in Kennesaw? As part of the metropolitan Atlanta area, Kennesaw is 100% Freeport and recognized for its low overall tax rates.
The city is served by both major interstate highways and CSX rail. It is conveniently located near all shipping ports within the Southeast, including Savannah, Charleston, Mobile, and the major ports of Florida. Most importantly, concentrating our warehouse operations in a logistically accessible location allows us to share labor across our facilities, as each day’s shipping and receiving require.
