The Convenience of ABW’s Metro Atlanta Campus

Convenience and flexibility are fundamental tenets of a smooth-running supply chain. Finding ways to quickly and easily transport freight from manufacturers to retailers is the singular goal of most logistics companies. Warehousing and distribution centers play a massive role in this process. The facilities’ infrastructure and location can directly impact the speed and ease with which goods are processed through the supply chain.

Atlanta Bonded Warehouse has always strived to provide our customers with the most efficient and convenient logistics solutions, including our warehousing facilities. The Metro Atlanta Campus is our headquarters and is a hub of activity located in Kennesaw, Georgia. But how equipped are our facilities? Why are we located in Kennesaw? At the bottom line, it’s all done with our customers in mind.

ABW’s Metro Atlanta Campus Facilities

We have facilities in the following locations:

Our facilities range from 75,000 square feet to 659,000 square feet. All of our public facilities have some level of temperature control with our maximum sustainable temperature at 75 F. Our temperature-controlled warehouse facilities offer the following environments:

  • 60-75 °F
  • 55-75 °F
  • 60-65°F
  • 65-75 °F

These temperatures serve customers in various industries, including confectionery, food and beverages, pharmaceuticals, food packaging, and snacks.

While all our facilities in the Metro Atlanta Campus are well equipped regarding dock doors and pallet capacity, some facilities provide additional services or features. The 3495 Highway 92 has 25,000 square feet of co-packaging / repackaging space. Outsourcing secondary packaging operations to a 3PL provider like ABW allows businesses to meet rising or inconsistent demand and optimize their packaging operations.

All our facilities are modern and equipped with innovative technology. We offer dedicated and multi-client warehousing so we can help businesses of all sizes with their warehousing needs.

Why Are We in Kennesaw?

As part of the metropolitan Atlanta area, Kennesaw is 100% Freeport, which means it qualifies for Freeport exemption, exempting companies from paying local and state taxes on inventory in their factories or warehouses. These tax cuts and low overall tax rates make Kennesaw an ideal choice for shipments within the Southeast, Southwest, Midwest, Upper Midwest, and Great Plains states.

Kennesaw is located near the confluence of three interstate systems and CSX and NS intermodal yards. It is well-served by ports in the Southeast, including Savannah, Charleston, Jacksonville, and the major ports of Florida. Thanks to this proximity we can offer our customers a more comprehensive range of accessible transport options for their goods.

As our warehouse operations are centered near each other, we can share labor across all metro facilities. This gives us the flexibility to move labor to respond quickly to shipping or receiving surges as they occur. And they do occur.
